The love for cooking and the need to put at good use our own agricultural products gave us, 15 years ago, the idea to start processing and preserving in little jars for our own family at first and then on the advice of good friends and family and always following our traditional family recipes the idea of sharing them on the market.
We therefore created a small workshop in the area of Zourida in Rethymnon and we initially started to sell our products on the local market and later in the best deli of Athens and Greece.
We noticed that there is always a positive response for all products of high quality.
We want to believe that with our work we will pass on some traditional recipes, adding a little brick in the effort of acknowledgement of the traditional Cretan cuisine, the love for natural and genuine flavors and most of all returning it back to modern housewives in a more contemporary way with which they can save valuable time when preparing family meals without sacrificing taste and delicacy.
The CastiLioni recipes are made with love and respect for good food without preservatives or additives.
It is our intention to continue making quality products, always with respect for the environment and working with local people.
